Frazada - AC13

Cusco blanket measuring 134x145cm made of sheep wool woven high in the Andes. It has plain borders in orange tones, with details in turquoise, reddish and yellow.

This Cusco blanket is hand-woven in the South American Altiplano. It has been woven on a wooden loom that is tied at one end to a stick and at the other to the weaver’s waist. An alpaca bone has been used to braid the wool when making the drawings. As it is such a manual work, it may present small irregularities and “perfect” imperfections.

Ethnic looms are made of 100% sheep wool dyed with natural pigments. Its color may vary and it is sensitive to direct light.
